Artist Biography for Eduardo Javier García García
An award-winning visual artist since 2004 and professional photographer since 2009, Eduardo Javier García García is an emerging creative force in his native Cuba. With his keen eye focused on the human form and its interplay with its surroundings, he captures the essence of what makes everyday moments extraordinary. Specializing in documentary photography, García has lectured in Venezuela and Argentina and has collaborated with his twin brother, Orlando García García, also an award-winning Cuban photographer, on the following three exhibits: Angels in Havana 2005, Life 2009, and Similar but Different 2012. Each exhibit explored indelible moments reflecting the human spirit and life in Cuba. A graduate of the Pedagogical Institute \"Enrique José Varona\" in 2005 with a concentration in Foreign Languages and Visual Arts, García is currently a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
Artist Biography for Orlando Garcia
A former award-winning industrial designer and graduate of the Design High Institute of Cuba, Cuban born professional photographer, Orlando Garcia, specializes in documentary photography. Garcia began his award-winning career in documentary photography in 2009 and has been an active freelance photographer since 2010. He and his twin brother, Eduardo Garcia, also an award-winning Cuban photographer, collaborate and capture indelible moments reflecting the human spirit and life in Cuba. Their collaborative exhibits have included Angels in Havana 2005, Life 2009, and Similar but Different 2012.
Inspired by his human subjects and their juxtaposition within their surroundings, Orlandos breadth of work reflects a palpable passion eliciting emotions ranging from pure joy, to sacrifice, to humor, to reflection, to reverence, to love.
His works are currently housed in private collections in Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States. He currently resides and works in Havana and Ciego de Avila, Cuba.
